Terms and conditions of sale

1. Respect for premises and guests

Thank you for booking your stay at MAISON DOUCE EPOQUE. You're about to live in an enclosed wooded park just 2 hours from Paris.

We ask you to respect the lawns and the silence of these areas, for your comfort and that of your neighbors.

On arrival, you can leave your car at the drop-off point at the entrance to the hotel reception. If you wish, the Valiturier will take care of moving it to the parking lot provided for this purpose, and your movements on the site will be exclusively on foot, or by electric buggy.

We also ask you to respect the lawns, not to drive on the grass, and to keep your car movements to a minimum, which must of course be at walking pace.

During your stay, we ask you to respect all safety instructions as explained to you by our reception staff.

 

2. Arrival and departure

Rooms are available from 3pm. In the event of late arrival (after 10 pm), please inform reception.
Rooms must be vacated by 12 noon on the day of departure. Failure to do so will result in additional charges being added to your stay.

 

 

3. Reservation

To be valid, your reservation must be accompanied by a credit card or a deposit of one or two nights, or even the entire stay, depending on the time of year defined in our public rates. We invite you to familiarize yourself with them. (1 night in low season, 2 nights in high season, or prepayment for "events".

Whether you book through our online reservation system with secure payment at https://maisondouceepoque.com, by telephone or e-mail with our reservation service, or through our partners, the amount of the overnight stay(s) may be debited from your credit card at the time of booking.


Services booked in our SPA area are due less than 48 hours before the service is due to take place.

 

A. Modification

Only e-mail changes to reservation@maisondouceepoque.com will be taken into account.


In the event of modification or cancellation of your stay by yourself once on the site, or in the event of a refusal of access to your room, no compensation can be claimed.

Any changes to spa services must be made at least 48 hours before arrival.

Jewelry and other valuables must be kept in the room safe. The hotel declines all responsibility in the event of loss or theft.

Access to the SPA and its facilities is forbidden to under-18s.

Modification or cancellation

a) We recommend to take out cancellation insurance.

b) Changes before your stay

You can modify your stay more than 2 days before the start date of the stay without charge and according to availability over the 12 months following the date initially planned, this for the low season period, and more than 15 days before the start date of the stay without charge and according to availability, over the 12 months following the date initially planned for the high season period, and vacation or event periods.

In the event of a no-show or early departure, 100% of the stay is due.

For services in our Spa, payment is non-refundable.

c) Changes to your stay made by Maison Douce Époque BEFORE your arrival

If conditions beyond our control do not allow us to welcome you in good conditions, such as bad weather, storms, or other major external events, with the exception of epidemics, the management reserves the right to cancel your stay for safety reasons. In this case, we will offer you the possibility of rescheduling your stay to a later date, within the current 12 months.

No refund or other compensation can be claimed.

 

4. Purchase and reservation with a gift voucher

a) Validity of gift vouchers :

Gift vouchers are valid for 1 year. They can be used any day the hotel is open, subject to availability, and cannot be used on dates decided by the hotel. Reservations must be made in advance with our reservations department: reservation@maisondouceepoque.com

b) Cancellation or modification before your stay :

Gift vouchers are subject to the same modification and cancellation rules as standard bookings. They are neither exchangeable nor refundable.

 

5. Capacity

All our rooms are equipped and insured to accommodate 2 people. An unaccompanied person under 18 years of age cannot stay in a single room.

 

6. Rates

Our prices include all taxes. Only the rates shown on our website are binding. Tourist tax payable on site on departure and additional services will be added to this price.

 

7. Means of payment accepted :

 

 Hôtel Maison Douce Époque may also ask the customer to show proof of identity in order to prevent credit card fraud.

If the Customer has not prepaid his/her stay, the Establishment will ask the Customer, upon arrival, for a security deposit or authorization to debit the credit card to guarantee the stay corresponding to the total amount of the nights booked plus a flat-rate amount of 100 euros per person per day to guarantee extras.

The same guarantee will be required from third-party guests.

 

If the Customer has prepaid for his/her stay, the Establishment may ask the Customer to pay a lump sum per person per day to cover extras.

 

8. Animals

Pets are welcome on the property if they are well behaved and respect the lawns and the surrounding calm for the comfort of our guests. A surcharge of €35 per night will be applied. Pets are not allowed in the Spa or restaurant.

 

9 Valuables

We recommend that you do not leave valuables in the accommodation or in vehicles parked in the parking lot. The management cannot be held responsible for theft from rooms. However, a safe is available in your room.

 

10. Spa and Fitness

We remind you that our wellness area is a place of calm and relaxation. It cannot accept minors. The pools are not supervised. The management declines all responsibility in the event of any incident in the pools.

The pools and Jacuzzi are unsupervised.

 

11. Claims

Any complaint relating to a stay must be sent by registered letter with acknowledgement of receipt within 30 days of the stay to the following address:

12. Personal data

. a) Your personal data requested as part of your reservation, i.e. your title, surname, first name, postal address, telephone number with country code, e-mail address, credit card details (number, type of card, holder's name, expiry date and cryptogram if transmitted to us) as well as any data communicated or generated by your navigation constitute confidential data.

b) It is accessible only to La Maison Douce Époque and to our subcontractor in charge of managing our "reservations" pages and is used to process your reservations and stays and; provided that you have accepted by checking the corresponding box, to send you our newsletter, or to respond to your requests or communicate commercial offers. They are kept for the duration necessary to the commercial relationship established between the customer and La Maison Douce Époque.

 

c) Certain information requested in the forms is mandatory and is indicated by an asterisk. If you choose not to provide this information, we will not be able to process your request.

d) In accordance with the French Data Protection Act of January 6, 1978, as amended, you have the right to access, rectify, delete or limit the processing of your personal data. 

 

You also have the right to object to the processing of your data for legitimate reasons and the right to object to the processing of your data for commercial prospecting purposes, as well as the right to give us instructions on what to do with your data after your death. 

 

13. Alcohol and cigarette consumption

Smoking is prohibited inside rooms and buildings. Ashtrays are available outside the buildings. Additional room charges may apply.

It is strictly forbidden to be under the influence of alcohol in rooms or common areas.

We also remind you that alcohol is forbidden to under-18s.

La Maison Douce Epoque reserves the right not to receive or to expel, without refund, customers whose dress is indecent, whose clothing is intended to conceal the face (Law N°2010-1192 of October 11, 2010), customers whose behavior is noisy, improper or alcoholic, customers whose behavior is contrary to hygiene, morality and public order. Correct dress is required in the restaurants and public areas of the hotel.

 

The Customer shall be courteous and respectful towards the Hotel staff. On pain of exclusion without reimbursement, the Customer shall refrain from any verbal or physical violence, any racist behavior or remarks or any form of harassment.

 

14. Dispute

In the event of a dispute, the Paris Commercial Court shall have jurisdiction.
